Nohora Viviana Cardona N\u00fa\u00f1ez holds a B.A. in Literature and an M.A. in Colombian and Latin American Literatures from the Universidad del Valle in Colombia, as well as a Specialization in University Teaching from the Universidad Santiago de Cali. She also holds an M.A. in Hispanic Literature and Culture, and a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Ottawa. She has taught at University of Ottawa, Southern Utah University, Universidad del Valle, and Cleveland State University. She currently teaches at the Department of Modern Languages in Case Western Reserve University.
Her poetry has been included in anthologies such as Lumbre y relumbre, Palabras que migran and Poetas cale\u00f1as, and also published in journals such as Hybrido, La verdolaga, Trasatl\u00e1ntica, and La Otra. She was one of the poets awarded with the \u201cVoces nuevas prize in 2024, granted by Editorial Torremozas in Spain. Her short stories have been collected in the volumes Cloudburst: An Anthology of Hispanic Canadian Short Stories, Ellas echaron el cuento, and Virginia & Co.
